- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Who likes going to the dentist? If I were a betting man, I'd say nobody. But Dr Kate Rao at least makes it bareable. I'll be honest...I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years, for many different reasons. Recently, I had a tooth break that was causing me a ton of pain, so I gave in and finally decided to go to a dentist. I did a Google search for what was near me, and Dr Rao's office popped up. I'm glad I went with her. After not going to the dentist for a decade, I KNEW I had some issues. When you don't go for that long, part of the anxiety of going comes from feeling as if you'll be judged or questioned about why you hadn't been. Dr Rao's staff did nothing to make me feel awkward or guilty about not being to a dentist for years. I believe Dr Rao's exact words to me were "you're here now, and that's all that matters." Her staff is friendly, and she herself is very personable, but she's also honest and straight to the point about what you need/don't need done. Another part of anxiety that comes from going to the dentist is, much like any service you pay for, you worry that you may be charged for services you don't need. Dr Rao alleviated those worries for me when she told me that there was a very expensive procedure that I COULD choose to do, but she did NOT recommended it or feel I absolutely needed it. She could've told me otherwise, I would've known no different, and paid a lot of money, but she was honest and straight with me. I've been to her three times now and have never felt any pain after a procedure and feel very comfortable with her, and that's an important part of choosing a dentist. She makes you feel comfortable, is honest, personable, friendly, and most importantly, good at her job. I'd recommend her services to anyone.December 02, 2016by thomas cummings
